Congregational Connections
Report to the Annual Meeting – April 24, 2010

The Congregational Connections Committee was formed by several members of the Metro Board of Directors who expressed concern that many of the churches are not given enough opportunity for fellowship with each other through programs and other activities.

The purpose of  UCC Congregational Connections is to work toward developing unity and relationships between congregations in the Metropolitan Association.

The Committee has been meeting on a regular basis to discuss ideas that can be presented to the churches.  Our first project is to showcase our churches through photographs.  We are asking each of the churches to submit photos and a blurb about their church so that we can showcase them at our meetings.
When we have gathered enough pictures and descriptions, we plan to create a new Metro Yearbook which will be available at the Fall Meeting of the Association in November.  It has been many years since the last pictorial directory was published.  We are hoping that every church will participate in this project.
