For timely information about the
people and events of the Metro and Suffolk Associations,
subscribe to the periodical electronic newsletter by sending

Please include your name and the name of your local church.
Churches in the United Church of Christ (UCC) work together
in many settings. Some of these relate to geography.
UCC churches
in the state of New York work together in the New York Conference
whose website is http://www.uccny.org.
Regional Conference Minister Michael Caine, in his 2/1/07
pre-sabbatical letter, praises the Suffolk and Metro Associations
for their contributions to Our Church's Wider Mission (OCWM)
and gives us contact information to use during his sabbatical
- February 2 - June 2, 2007.
Choirs from Suffolk and Metro churches gathered on Saturday
evening, November 4, 2006, for a Music
Extravaganza to launch
the celebration of the UCC's 50th Birthday. The
celebration theme is "Let It Shine!"
Over
seventy persons from the Suffolk and Metro Associations attended
the 43rd Annual
Meeting of the New York Conference held
at Silver Bay, NY June 9 - 11, 2006.
Within
the state are smaller geographic groupings called Associations.
In the southeastern part of New York State are the Suffolk
Association ( Suffolk County ) and the Metropolitan (Metro)
Association ( New York City and its suburbs). Together these
Associations compose the Southeastern Region whose Regional
Conference Minister is Michael W. Caine.
On November 19, 2005 the Suffolk and Metropolitan Associations gathered for
their joint Fall
Meetings/Retreat at Garden City Community Church.
