The Ordination and Ministerial Standing Committee interviewed the following persons for various statuses in the Metro Association since the Fall Meeting, 2006.

Installation
1. Rev. Mark Marsh as Pastor of Victoria Congregational Church, Jamaica, Queens.

Dual Standing
1. Rev. Matthew P. George (CSI Congregation of Hudson Valley, Valhalla, Westchester District), Church of South India

Privilege of Call
1. Rev. Annie Kampenya-Martin (member, Broadway United Church of Christ, Manhattan ), ordained by Presbyterian Church of Central Africa

Licensures for Ministry

  2. Rev. Elsa Peters - on 01/21/2007 (First Congregational Church, Chappaqua, Westchester ), called as Associate Pastor of First Congregational Church, South Portland, ME
  3. Rev. Matthew D. Fox - on 03/04/2007 ( All Souls Bethlehem Church, Brooklyn ), called as Social Justice Minister, Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice

Ecclesiastical Council

Ms. Susan Blain (The Riverside Church) recommended for Ecclesiastical Council on April 21st, 2007; and then on recommendation of the Council, the Ordination will be on May 6th 2007.

We have 29 candidates as In-Care of our Association. We had In-Care gathering on February 10th, 2007 at the Garden City Community Church. Many In-care candidates participated. We processed three requests for transfer of Ordained Ministerial Standing to other Associations.
