Memorial Service Gave Thanks for the Life of
Rev. Dr. John A. Blackwell

It was with great sadness and faithful confidence that we gathered at the Congregational Church of Manhasset on June 5, 2004 to celebrate the life of the Rev. Dr. John A. Blackwell. He died on Friday, May 28, 2004, peacefully, at the family's new home in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Rev. Michael Caine officiated, with the Rev. Jimmy Only and other clergy. Mr. Clifford John was the musical director for the service with a choir assembled from the Metropolitan and Suffolk Associations.

John preceded Michael Caine as the Regional Conference Minister serving the Metro and Suffolk Associations.

Let us give thanks that John has run his race, having shared his gifts and love, and has now gone home to receive his prize.
