Members of COMPAS have been participating in the UCC NY Conference Global Commission in Syracuse.  We have helped coordinate the Mission Possible III held on March 27-28, 2009 at the Christ the King Retreat Center.  The theme was "Digging Deeper into Mission".  Guests were Bruce Van Voorish,Communication Officer of Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC), Common Global Ministries United Church of Christ and the Board of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the Rev. Dr. Mary Schaller Blaufuss, Executive for Volunteer Ministries Program.    Interfaith guests  from the Central New York Iraqi Reparation Projects attended and shared their work and  relational experiences with the Muslim refugees.  Rev.Craig Schaub, who is a member of the Interfaith group, is the pastor of Plymouth Congregational Church, UCC in Syracuse.  He also  delivered the message for the Closing Worship.

COMPAS continuously offer resource materials by providing a table display of free books and resources for churches to take back to their congregations.  Members of the committee are in the process of planning another Stewardship meeting as a follow up on what it sponsored in 2007.
