NY Conference 2004 Annual Meeting

We gathered, more than 500 of us, on June 11-13, 2004 for the 12^th Joint Assembly/Annual Meeting of the Northeastern Region, Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and New York Conference, United Church of Christ. Activities centered at the LaGuardia Marriott Hotel in Elmhurst ; we worshipped at historic Bowne Street Community Church in Flushing.

These locations made it easy for persons from the Suffolk and Metropolitan Associations to attend as many activities as our schedules allowed.

Intended highlights of the meeting included worship, beginning the discernment on poverty and introducing the God is Still Speaking, campaign. However, your highlight may have been a quiet conversation with a new friend, meeting a motivated youth or watching the sun rise over Manhattan.
